and had to chuckle...
Bears with a sweet tooth and apparently zero fear destroyed
this honey compound for the THIRD time...
WOW. The electric fence didn't even stop 'em...
Now that's a macho bear... doesn't care for burn marks or bee bites.

Really impressed by the wild life here at the beach...gators, bears,
random locals (juuuust kidding), wide range of sweet birds, tropical fish,
deer, fox, wild pigs/piglets/bacon with legs/boars, cayotes & tons more.

Grayton Beach

This Saturday, May 21, the South Walton Chapter of the Coastal Conservation
Association will sponsor their Fifth Annual Kid’s Fishing
Tournament at Grayton Beach.

The event begins at 8 a.m. on the back porch of the Red Bar and ends
at noon, followed by a brief award ceremony for the
winners of each division.

Awards will be given to the winners of each of the following divisions:
Boys: 5 to 9 years, 10 to 12 years and 13 to 15 years
Girls: 5 to 9 years, 10 to 12 years and 13 to 15 years

All participants should be accompanied by an adult and Florida Recreational
Saltwater Fishing Regulations shall apply.
All fish must be alive at weigh-in. The heaviest fish weighed
will determine the leader in each age group.

The Coastal Conservation Association of Florida has been sponsoring this child-oriented fishing event for five years in cooperation with the Red Bar, Yellowfin Ocean Sports, Fish Florida, Ferguson Waterworks and many other local businesses. The community event regularly attracts around 150 participants, not to mention another 100 or so parents,
grandparent and guardians.

Arts Quest - Seaside, Florida

Came across an interesting article on cnn.com about gas prices!!
Tom Thumb in Seagrove Beach on 30A, charges
$3.89 per gallon for unleaded as of today.
Thankfully, we live on a small "island" where we are
a short distance between work, grocery store, shops,
cafes/restaurants and taaaadaaaaaa the beach...


The beauty of 30A is that you can really get anywhere
by foot or by a groovy beach cruiser, you don't have to
get in your car and drive...

Yes, you can get anywhere on 30A with your hair blowin' in the wind.
True story!!
